Indeed an amazing save, but one that wouldn't have had to be made if he just stayed in position. Reminds me of Roy and Joseph back in the day.

Wow. That is the stuff of legends. And to make it on a player like Hossa. Wow.

Don't forget Hasek, he was amazing in his prime.
Oh I see your save and top you a goal.

Speaking of saves, Curtis Joseph just retired. He is first all-time with over 24k saves. No Cups and no Vezinas, but he's still #1 in my book.
Happy retirement, Cujo!

This thread delivers.
That goal that pwned put up is just mad dangles. The one handed backwards through the legs made my eyes bulge.
And Cujo will forever be in our hearts. The Leafs haven't had a goalie since he left.

Great save, and it's shocking how skilled the guy is, no luck here.
Good stuff! (especially with videos in HD)

Well, it's both. His reflexes were amazing for the save, but the puck hitting his stick was luck. Hossa won't hear the end of this one. Regardless, for a back up goalie who was doing worse than the franchises AHL goalie, the save was amazing.
Everyone in the arena went crazy when the save was made, I don't think I've ever heard it louder. I was lucky enough to be there.

Fcking Senators. There they got lucky multiple times last night against the Hawks.
Anyways, here's an awesome shootout goal where the goalie DIDN'T get lucky with his stick.

lol Wow, that goal was sick. I love that he got props from the Swiss as well as his own teammates. Was almost like what Zidane tried to do to Buffon in the 2006 WC shootout with a stupid little chip shot. But the hockey one was way better because 1) it worked and 2) it's a freaking puck, ON ICE!

The only luck involved is Ottawa not getting a shutout
Not to mention the refs were fking terrible, called the Sens on dumb shit, and not calling clear penalties for the Hawks. STFU DE, YOU GOT OWNED.

Senators suck. Go away. You can't complain about refs when you're playing in your home arena.

The NHL has to have the worst refs in any professional sports league. Not to mention being on home ice doesn't make a single difference from being away when it comes to refs and their calls.

I've seen better. There was a Brodeur save a few years ago where he's flat on his stomach and raises his leg and makes a skate blade save.
edit: here it is, just go to the very end for the slow mo behind the net replay. This save positively owns OP's link
